The Senior PHP/Drupal Developer is a key member of Vardot’s development team, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of custom web applications built on the Drupal platform. This individual should have a strong understanding of PHP and Drupal, as well as experience working with front-end technologies such as JavaScript frameworks, HTML/Twig, Sass, PostCSS, and similar. 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of complex Drupal projects, working closely with our project managers and other developers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. You will also be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior developers, and providing technical expertise to help drive the direction of our development efforts. 

To be successful in this position, you should have at least 5 years of experience as a PHP/Drupal developer, with a proven track record of delivering successful Drupal-based web applications. You should also have a strong understanding of web development best practices, including agile methodologies and software design patterns.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the development of custom Drupal-based web applications, working closely with project managers and other developers to ensure successful project delivery 
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and direction 
• Work with the development team to identify and implement best practices and standards for PHP and Drupal development 
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that developed solutions are integrated seamlessly with the overall architecture 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in PHP and Drupal, and continuously seek opportunities to improve and expand your knowledge and skills

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience as a PHP/Drupal developer 
• Strong understanding of PHP and Drupal, including custom module development and theming 
• Experience working with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Familiarity with web development best practices, including agile methodologies and software design patterns 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
